What house cleaning
actually costs.

Lupi’s doesn’t publish a price list. This page explains why, and what genuinely moves the number so you can judge any quote you’re given — hers or anyone else’s.

Why there's no price on this page

Because any number here would be a guess about a house nobody has seen.

A cleaner quoting a flat rate off a website is doing one of two things. Either they've padded it enough to cover the worst case, and you're subsidising messier homes than yours. Or they haven't, and the price changes once they arrive — which is the conversation everybody dreads.

Astrid quotes after hearing about the actual house. That's slower and it's the reason there's no "$149 per visit" button anywhere on this site.

The five things that move the price

1. Size

Not bedrooms — floor area, and how many bathrooms. Bathrooms are the single most labour-intensive room in a house, so a 3-bed with three-and-a-half baths is a bigger job than a 4-bed with two.

2. Frequency

Weekly costs less per visit than bi-weekly, which costs less than monthly, which costs less than a one-off. This surprises people, but it's simply that less dirt accumulates between visits, so each visit is less work. The cheapest possible clean per visit is the one on a house that barely needed it.

3. Condition

The honest one. A home that's been maintained is quicker than one that hasn't, and the gap is much larger than most people expect. This is also why a first clean often costs more than the visits that follow it.

4. Pets

Hair gets everywhere and takes real time to remove properly, particularly on carpet, upholstery and stairs. It's not a surcharge for having a dog; it's that the vacuuming genuinely takes longer.

5. Scope

Whether you want the oven interior, the fridge emptied and wiped, laundry, inside windows, the basement included or excluded. Each is time, and time is the price.

What doesn't change the price

Cleaning products and equipment. Astrid brings her own, and that's included rather than billed.

Getting an accurate number

Call or text and be specific — approximate square footage, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, how long since it was properly cleaned, pets, and how often you'd like her. Two minutes of accuracy on the phone is worth more than any online calculator.

Estimates are free and there's no obligation. New customers get $25 off the first clean.
